Master the cycle of the seasons and transform your harvest. From the award-winning author of Grounded, discover a fresh, intuitive approach to organic gardening that aligns with nature’s true rhythm.

Gardening isn’t just about planting seeds—it’s about understanding the complex interplay of light, weather, microclimates, and your own personal goals. In The Seasoned Gardener, Liz Zorab, winner of the prestigious 2022 Garden Media Guild Award, invites you to dig deeper into the processes of growing your own food.

Unlike traditional manuals that rigidly follow the calendar, The Seasoned Gardener begins in the autumn—the true peak of harvest—and groups plants by when they are best enjoyed. With a "salt-of-the-earth" approach and gentle humor, Liz provides a roadmap for both beginners and seasoned pros to grow more, stress less, and truly savor the experience of a garden in flow.

What You’ll Discover Inside:

  • Harvest-First Planning: Learn to organize your garden by the time of enjoyment, helping you manage your workload and avoid the "doing too much" trap.

  • Holistic Gardening: Go beyond just planting; learn to work with your specific microclimates, water cycles, and light levels for better yields.

  • Practical & Inspiring: Packed with hundreds of actionable tips, how-to guides, and observations to help you decide which plants are best for your specific space.

  • Year-Round Pleasure: Discover how to maintain a beautiful, productive, and enjoyable growing space through every season.

  • Expert Guidance: Authored by an RHS Silver Medalist and renowned smallholder, this book is a masterclass in permaculture-inspired, sustainable living.

Why You’ll Love It:

Liz Zorab’s journey from a small 0.8-acre plot to a thriving 4.5-acre regenerative site is a testament to the power of experimentation and learning. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced gardener looking to optimize your time and energy, The Seasoned Gardener will inspire you to celebrate nature’s productivity as much as your own.
