Californian Poppy White/Alba

The well-known Calfornian Poppy is a beautiful annual with lovely blue-grey feathery foliage and flowers borne in profusion throughout the summer.

The Spanish-Californians make a highly prized hair-oil, which is said to promote hair growth, by frying the whole plant in olive oil and adding perfume. Hardy and Very quick and easy to grow and very tolerant of poor, dry soils
Californian properties are said to have calming effects that relaxation, reduce mild pain, and enhance sleep. In fact, the California poppy has long been used in folk medicine for its sedative properties.

Alba is one of the loveliest of all the Californian Poppies.
