Burdock seeds, botanically known as Arctium lappa, are a popular ingredient in Asian cuisine. They have long roots growing up to 100x2cm and a mild bittersweet flavour. With a strong aroma, Burdock has many medicinal uses and is fast growing. The young roots are peeled and eaten in salads, while the older roots are cooked as a root vegetable. Additionally, Burdock is also known as "Gobo".
