The Superfood Smoothie that Packs a Punch

Hey there, who doesn't love a smoothie?   Today I am  diving into the world of functional beverages with a recipe that's as delicious as it is good for you. It is a recipe I can always get the kids to drink without any issues and a fabulous way to start the day. I am talking about a Banana Mushroom Cacao Honey Smoothie featuring our Mushroom Cacao Honey.

Now, hold on before you wrinkle your nose at the thought of mushrooms in your smoothie! Our Mushroom Cacao Honey is a game-changer. It combines the rich, earthy notes of Reishi, Shitake, Lion's Mane mushrooms, Cordyceps known for their potential health benefits, with the luxurious indulgence of cacao and the natural sweetness of our raw honey.

Intrigued? You should be! This smoothie is more than just a tasty morning pick-me-up. It's packed with:

  • Energy-boosting bananas and healthy fats from nut butter.

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen organic banana
  • 1 cup yogurt (or vegan alternative of choice)
  • 1/2 cup  peanut butter ( or try some fresh walnuts or almonds) 
  • 1 Tbsp Gatherer's Forager Mushroom Cacao Honey
  • 1 Tbsp. organic chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp. organic cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 cup milk of your choice or water 

Instructions:

  1. Pop all those delicious ingredients into your blender, starting with the liquids at the bottom to ensure your blender will whizz everything together smoothly!
  2. Blend on high until the frozen banana is pulverized and the mixture is perfectly combined. This recipe makes enough for 3-4 servings, so feel free to share with a friend or family member (or pop the leftovers in the freezer to make some nice cream later!)
