A fast-growing, high protein tree. Great for bees as it is one of the first providing nectar in late winter/early spring. Also a great fodder plant for livestock.
Great wind break and nitrogen fixer. Cut down before flowering or seed setting to use as animal fodder and create a dense bush. Trees can get quite tall and bush and make a good screening plant
Seeds need scarification.
