Could there ever be a pumpkin more perfect than the Cinderella? A personal favorite of mine this centuries-old French heirloom pumpkin was popular in Paris in the 1880s, and introduced to the U.S. in 1883. It looks just like the coach in the fairytale Cinderella hence the name. The glowing orange color contrasts magically with the very pronounced lobes and flattened top. Tasty, orange flesh transforms pies and savory dishes great roaster more of a dry pumpkin.
